I bought myself a jefferson airplane boxset. I'm hoping for an Ipod from my girlfriend. All I want from my family is to leave me alone..

I hate Christmas because everyone puts on their happy masks because it's the "season" to do so.

Normally I don't wish for much materially, but this year, I'd really like to have large sums of money. Paying off credit cards, updating computers, repairing some things around the house and helping out some family and friends with expenses would all be nice.
I'd settle for a good job so I can get started on all this myself.
PS - And a Red Rider BB Gun

I need a new monitor, this crap 17" CRT ain't cutting it.
I am also hoping to upgrade from this 6800GT to a nice and cool 7800GTX, that of which I am going to add a DangerDen waterblock onto and have myself a good ole' time of OC'ing!
I am also hoping to upgrade from this 1GB of OCZ Value to 2GB of G.Skill ZX PC4000 (DDR500) RAM.
For my last computer upgrade, going from a 4000+ @ FX-57 to an Opteron 165 I want to see how far I can push it on watercooling.

1. To eat as much Christmas dinner as possible without falling asleep afterwards, I always miss the movie.
2. To look at my bankaccount just once and think, "Ooh, haven't I done well!"
3. Just once, have my girlfriend offer to give me a massage rather than just demanding one herself.
4. Keep my sanity whilst Christmas shopping.
5. To survive for more than 5 mins in GvG (everyone aims for the Monk first).

There is some truth to that. That is when people finally cough up some cash for the less fortunate...and then they feel good doing so...or superior. The trick is to try to help people all year. Not just with cash...by leading by example for one...taking the time to teach someone something they would not get on there own. Give an old computer box to someone that really needs it....even old chunky boxes can use Word,Excel,Email, etc.
When I see video of people getting trampled at the Wal-Mart store....I say to myself....what is the point? Do people really sleep well at night knowing the game/toy/whatever they got Bobby or Sue for Christmas was given to them while that person that gave it to them out manuvered/trampled/kicked/punched someone else for it?
Mrs Dood the other day was shopping and had 3 of these $10.00 off cards for Mashall Fields. Mrs Dood used two of them and was in line to check out. She noticed a nice older woman in a big line a few feet away. Since the kids were with Mrs Dood, people thought the line they were in was longer then it was. Mrs Dood motioned for the nice Lady to come over to her....let her in the line between the kids...and gave her one of the $10.00 off cards. The Lady was so thankful and didn't expect it. They both wished each other Merry Christmas and went their separate ways. It was really nothing special....just how people should act normaly!
And of course my kids were very polite....they save their snotty-ness for me later in private...as it should be.
EDIT: What do I want for Christmas? A big fat Lotto win! Then I can put my money where my mouth is!

That is just plain sad. My son is gay...and we go out of our way to make sure he is welcome and so is his boyfriend with in our home. Mrs Dood always buys my son's boyfriend gifts and hugs him when they come home. I still do the hand shake though....
